A modern lakeside home with warm touches

One of our favorite sites yet! Working with a client as sweet as her is a blessing; the energy was electric and the ideas were flowing.

When it comes to lakeside homes, we think airy and open! However, our client had opted for modern finishes for her new home and we went with the modern theme but with a touch of that vacation home ease we all love!

We opted for a sliding door for the bedroom & bathroom for their timeless but functional effect. The goal was to create an easy flow for getting around from room to room- these doors don’t need locking and neither does a lakeside home!

We went for the Hot Honey Iroko wood doors since it blends well with the contemporary, modern look while maintaining warmth and bringing a touch of elegance to the space. For the wardrobes we went with light grey plywood with sliding doors for that eased access and to flawlessly blend into the neutral theme of the home.

We wanted to complement the modern black tile in the bathroom as well as the natural rock wall that was already installed (shown on last photo- how gorgeous is that!)

The bathroom was the perfect blend between earthy and modern. We decided to opt for a floating Hot Honey Iroko wood vanity to add the modern/minimal touch and also add the hint of organic, earthy warmth to the space. For the sink, we chose to break the dark theme with a white sink to make the vanity a special warm nook.

One of our favorite parts about the space is the mirror!

The LED ring installed made the mirror and vanity that much more special and modern. Our round Stella mirror is absolutely having her moment against the black tile.
